Rodney King Beating

On this day in 1991, Rodney King was beaten by members of the Los Angeles Police Department during a traffic stop after a high speed car chase. Wikipedia has an excellent account of the events surrounding the beating. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_King The acquittal of the police officers accused in this case led to the 1992 Los Angeles riots. 18 years later, we, as a society, are still dealing with the fallout of the events of that night.

The above video is part of what happened that night. I do suggest, however, that you read the wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_King & decide for yourself.
